Tissa Chaithya and Kirinda Chaithya (Buddhist temples of cultural importance and history) are two places a visitor who is keen to learn different cultures and of archeological importance should visit.
Sithulpawwa Rajamaha Viharaya is an ancient temple which shares its borders with the Yala National Reserve Block-1. In the recent past there have been many disputes between the concerned parties as wild animals constantly visit the premises of this ancient Buddhist establishment and at most times they are being fed by humans, which has resulted in differences of opinion between animal rights activists and other authorities. However, this temple situated right in the heart of the Yala reserve is a place that all guests must make a visit.
The Katharagama Temple is a Hindu temple which is situated 30 minutes away from Allure Yala; and is one of the most visited temples in Sri Lanka. Buddhist as well as Hindu devotees make frequent visits to this religious site from all around Sri Lanka and is considered a miraculous place of worship.

The front boundary of Allure is the great "Yoda Wewa" (lake), abundant in fish where our guests have the opportunity of casting a rod into the deep waters to net a catch for their own meal. This is an experience that we offer you as our valued guest, and we consider it a privilege to be housed by the side of this large lake. You could also join the local fishermen who gather beside Allure to net fish for their own consumption, where in some instances these local fishermen use the long-line net or they cast a net to a designated area to pull-in the fish trapped by the net. All these nets allow smaller fish to swim through to ensure that over-gathering of fish does not occur. The rocks placed in-front of Allure to prevent erosion is also an ideal nursery where schools of small fish gather and grow before they swim to the deeper waters.
